1997 CHEVROLET S-10

Jay's a local guy and when he finally came into the shop, he got the works! The cab was stockfloor bodydropped 2-3/4in and moved back 3/4in to close the gap at the bed and center the front wheels better. Bed height was kept stock behind the notch with the use of a 3/4 frame built from the firewall back. The front of the bed was raised 2-1/2in to cover the valves and crossmember. A wishbone 3-link was built with bags on the lower bars for increased travel and a smoother ride, while a laser cut club logo was welded into the frame to top it off. Trailer fenders and a trap door for the 17gal fuel cell finished off the rear.

Up front we utilized Suicidedoors.com control arms with integrated sway bar mounts. A Sanden 508 engine driven compressor was mounted in place of the stock A/C unit and factory heat was reinstalled with a custom sheetmetal blower box hidden under the air intake. All engine wires were rerouted inside the cab for a cleaner look while split firewall grommets cleaned up the shaved firewall. A 7in hotrod brake booster and master cylinder take care of the stopping duties and another set of trailer fenders keep things clean under the hood.
